You can start your holiday in the warm and sultry afternoon at the Côte d’Azur and subsequently enjoy the pure, fresh air of the Swiss mountains.
The great advantage of this combination is that you can break up your journey with your car in a lovely spot in Switzerland via Monaco, along Lake Maggiore in Italy and the car train to Brig. In addition, you don’t have to make your return journey along the very busy Route de Soleil, but can get back to the Netherlands in one day, see the picture attached. This way, your holiday continues to have variety, and the trip stays relaxed. The distance to and from Utrecht to Juan les Pins is approximately 2680 km and via Switzerland 2860 km, so it’s barely 180 km longer.
